    i find it dissapointing that more often than not i’m looking for p2p releases rather than scene releases these days.

    the scene need to get with the times and release rips of a high bit rate and not just cram everything into a 700mb cd.

    in a time when people have fast internet connections, big tvs and divx capable media players we don’t need cds .. unless your one of those wankers selling pirated cds on the market to keep your needle addiction flowing.

    Hahaha spot on that, nobody burns to cd’s any more its so annoying, we need between 1 and 2 gig rips, preferably from bluray source, no need for the standard dvd’s anymore

    personally i say dvdrips shud be 700, bdrips 1.5->2gb and 720p hd 4.5gb, and 1024 7.5gb

    but if a movie needs it they shud use the next step up, so a high bitrate dvdrip that really needs bitrate shud use the bdrip size restriction, same thing for a bdrip that needs higher bitrate just let it baloon to 720p hd rip size.

    The rules state that any movie over 1h 45min needs to be the size of two CDs (1.4GB).

    The scene was implemented because they didn’t want a ton of maverick releasers who screw up aspect ratio, make videos out of sync, and other such problems. Which is what we’re seeing now with all these P2P releases. There’s no quality control. But because the scene hasn’t kept up with the times, no one respects it anymore.

    These comments are supposed to be reserved for constructive critisim regarding the quality of the rip/release. Instead you idiots post p2p link afer p2p link and complain about the scene. You don’t know shit about the scene if you’re providing links or depending on them from a news release site.
