    Ye, I started doing the same to Watchmen, tried to put the 4:3 version on top of the cam to make it widescreen. Syncing problems made it too difficult to bother, but I got five minutes before a proper release got out! LOL

    There’s no blurring involved.

    It’s easier to see the line where the DDC and the R5 join together (about 20% or so up from the bottom of the image area) during fade-ins and fade-outs (the two sources fade in/out at different rates).

    It’s not blurred!
    They took the bottom of the film (were the russian subtitles were) and put the DDC instead.
    They done a very good job, they sync it well and change the colors, but the cut isn’t good. You can see where the R5 and the DDC “meets”.
