    plug in play all day with these. Actually, with the hangover, you need to use mkv2vob and convert the mkv to a vob and it plays great on the ps3

    These DDC movies freak me out, I checked the properties for The Hangover and it mentioned something about AI in the security part of it. Someone posted in the comments in another release that these things submit ip addys if connected online when playing. Any truth to that? Like I said, the properties available for The Hangover were way different than the normal vid files and it had an option to unlock security too. Just something I noticed.

    so these movies are being tracked then… digitally maybe… my suggestion; don’t watch the AVI or the MKV on the computer… correct the AR and burn onto DVD, these are meant to trick people thinking they cannot be corrected, i have corrected both terminator and the hangover… quality isn’t bad either, but i would not suggest watching these on any PC… burn and remove the evidence, but it was still downloaded, so just be aware…

    I suggest that not to watch these with pc. I watched the p2p version on my pc and after a while my connection got stuck and my computer shut down because of BSOD :/

    Maybe the security thing is sending your IP information to somewhere and they send you back a shutdown code or something. Be aware.

    its actually 1 hour 46 min and folks there is no difference in quality here apart from resolution…
    i have just seen a mkv rip from this guy “” scOrp “” he has corrected the AR as well as the frame rate that too only in 400MB .
    kickass quality BTW.

    This bears repeating.

    Truth of the matter is, qualitywise, the original source wasn’t that great to begin with, so any of these subsequent reencodes CANNOT be markedly better. This especially goes for the audio–the original has 56kbps@24kHz CBR mp3–anything higher on derivative releases is utter bullsh*t–reencoding 24kHz 56kbps to 48kHz 128kbps may look better in the release notes and make the file bigger (and we all know bigger is better, right?), but it does nothing to change what you’re going to hear.

    Other than cropping and changing the aspect ratio, there’s not a whole lot else anyone could do to significantly improve the final result.

    An example of this can be found in the music industry. Indie artists are for the first time able to access the same distribution channels as major record labels, with none of the restrictive practices or inflated manufacturing costs; there are a growing collection of ‘internet labels’ that offer distribution to unsigned or independent artists directly to online music stores, and in some cases marketing and promotion services.

    Without the need for physical manufacturing, distribution or stocking, digitally distributed products involve fewer middle men, and by doing so can return a far larger portion of their price to their creators.     This can greatly cut down on the cost of maintaining back catalogs, whether it is running an actual storage facility(warehouse, file cabinet) or preserving the product(humidity control, security system). Publisher and Developers can cheaply and safely maintain a complete back catalog of products, as well as having them purchasable even when a physical copy is no longer available.
