    Just a tip for anyone who’s interested …

    I don’t have much luck with Filebase streaming (it’s just too slow for me most of the time).

    However, if you’re running Firefox, you can speed up Filebase downloading considerably (and minimize the chance of stalled downloads as well).

    Make sure you have these two add-ons installed:

    AdBlock Plus https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

    and

    DownThemAll https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201

    Once you’re up and running (with these two add-ons active), go to Firefox’s “Tools” menu and choose the “Add-ons” menu item. In the add-ons list, choose “DownThemAll” and click the “Options” button (Mac users choose the “Preferences” button). Select the “Advanced” tab. Set the “Max. number of chunks per download” to 10, and click “OK.”

    Load the Filebase link. When you can see the Filebase divx player, right-click on the “Block” tab (usually located near the top right-hand corner of the divx player), and choose “Save link with DownThemAll.” In the dialog that follows, specify a download location, and click the “Start!” button. Your download should commence utilizing multiple connections (the exact number of connections depends on what the host site allows).
