A remake of the 1951 classic sci-fi film about an alien visitor and his giant robot counterpart who visit Earth.
NOTES:
Right this is a mixture of releases……the bulk coming from the russian dvd9 mixed
with optic’s audio.
Picture wise the russian r5 is great,just lacks that bit of life…..however the audio had some major
hiss/noise issues,but still better that nothing.
WORK DONE:
Right first thing was to sort the audio…….so i cropped the ending credits audio off and used the russian audio track and
created a new file…..Then it was a case of filtering it,now i have done the best i could and there still is some noise but sounds better to
me
To do this i used a hiss and noise removal filter and also then changed the EQ in adobe audition.
Then onto the video for this i cropped the original black borders and also cropped a side but off the right side,as there was a black line all the
way down….hence the slightly strange res ;-)
Then it was onto the filtering side…..for this i increased the gamma,chroma,lum and contrast to give it some life.Once i did that i needed to just sort the
bright spots out but lowering the rgb black base.
And finally i used a contour filter to increase the sharpness that touch more.
Then onto the subs…..i still had my own subpack i created for the TS so i needed to reditied the times to sync with this new video source as they were about
1min or more out.
Now for the hard part :lol: The syncing…..was a bit of a pain as i kept spotting odd bits here and there,but eventually i think i resynced the lot (sorry if i missed any).
Overall v9 a8 m7 …….Pretty please with the out come considering what i had to work with,and can’t see anything better now until the retail so grab it if you want ;-)
Ps PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD MY RELEASES IF YOU DON’T LIKE RE-ENCODES OR IF YOU THINK BY SOME
HOW ME RE-ENCODING THEM IS GOING TO MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE R5′S….BECAUSE THEY DON’T!!!!!
