Also, notice how even the name of the threat reported has the meaning of "hack" tool here. This only means Eset has labeled this "tool" that gets FREE updates, as a virus, when in fact, this isn't at all.

It's just Eset's way of attempting to mislead others into thinking it is, so they don't use the tool to get free updates...

The Nod32 Fix.exe is reported as a Win32/HackAV.AT application threat only on Eset antivirus software products. Meaning, no other antivirus software provider considers a this type of file "Nod32 Fix.exe" to be a virus. Why not?

Maybe this has something to do with the fact, that the "Nod32 Fix.exe" provisions their software product to get FREE update downloads, which enables everyone to use their product without having to afford the update subscriptions?

It's just Eset's way of attempting to mislead others into thinking it is, so they don't use the tool to get free updates...

As for them online updates, did you know Eset doesn't offer any method for the customer to download offline updates! Meaning, for all those computers that are not online, you get no updates... That is so stupid!

Stupid because, not every PC will be online, and they should still be made safe, as individuals can connect with them using USB devices. There lots of other reasons here. The biggest is being why doesn't Eset offer offline updates?

The thing is here, if you buy the expensive version such as the business edition, with an additional cost to acquire a license, you can do just that. That being, download online updates to a PC that has the business edition to create offline updates...

And with these you can host updates to anyone online on any website of your choosing...

Like the below list has been doing...

Why must Microsoft sell buggy, bloated, malware infected vaporware, that has created this huge antivirus industy? It so terrible, because anyone purchasing their crapware, like the pre-loaded PC's sold today, force upon the consumer the greater need of purchasing the FIX "that's patch the bugs" found in Microsoft vaporware! Even Microsoft thinks to get away with selling you the customer their "oneCare" here's a sad solution for which they created in the first place. What a way to extort money!

Think about it, should a automobile technician fix one problem and create another in so doing, just to insure repeat business? How about having a medical doctor set your broken bones, while injecting you with a disease, just to get you to come back again later. How is this any different than what Microsoft is doing by selling you a flawed and buggy product, that requires constant patches, updates and service packs!

If you all up all the cost that are inherent to using Microsoft software, your supporting a huge whole industry here! Now think about "open source intellectual property" because it's all FREE, and unlike with proprietary software, available for public review of the source code. This makes open source safer, while supporting a lower cost of ownership, meaning in most cases for the general public, totally FREE!

Microsoft hates anything given away for FREE, that offers solutions. It's bad enough for competition they claim... I say, it's time to dump Microsoft once and for all.. Let them keep they Vista DRM vaporware....

Let us build upon open source code, keeping it FREE for all, and this will allow many more jobs ahead that we all can be productive, not captivated and locked in with draconian terms restriction everyone to build upon all prior innovation...

Microsoft should be boycotted and those businesses leaching off the public, like Eset need reform! Extorting money from citizens, is a poor model for society. It's the same as having Americans afford the government's bailout plan paying the wealthy bankers!

Stop selling us crapware! Stop paying taxes that go to rich bankers! The system is all wrong, it shouldn't be making poor afford the rich, the people serving the government...

It's suppose to be about the government working for the people's needs, just like producing secure software solutions... that are NOT full of BUGS, needing endless patches, year after year... Wake up!

Why must Microsoft sell buggy, bloated, malware infected vaporware, that has created this huge antivirus industy? It so terrible, because anyone purchasing their crapware, like the pre-loaded PC’s sold today, force upon the consumer the greater need of purchasing the FIX “that’s patch the bugs” found in Microsoft vaporware! Even Microsoft thinks to get away with selling you the customer their “oneCare” here’s a sad solution for which they created in the first place.

Now think about “open source intellectual property” because it’s all FREE, and unlike with proprietary software, available for public review of the source code. This makes open source safer, while supporting a lower cost of ownership, meaning in most cases for the general public, totally FREE!

Microsoft hates anything given away for FREE, that offers solutions. It’s bad enough for competition they claim… I say, it’s time to dump Microsoft once and for all.. Let them keep they Vista DRM vaporware….

Let us build upon open source code, keeping it FREE for all, and this will allow many more jobs ahead that we all can be productive, not captivated and locked in with draconian terms restriction everyone to build upon all prior innovation…

Microsoft should be boycotted and those businesses leaching off the public, like Eset need reform! Extorting money from citizens, is a poor model for society. It’s the same as having Americans afford the government’s bailout plan paying the wealthy bankers!

Stop selling us crapware! Stop paying taxes that go to rich bankers! The system is all wrong, it shouldn’t be making poor afford the rich, the people serving the government…

It’s suppose to be about the government working for the people’s needs, just like producing secure software solutions… that are NOT full of BUGS, needing endless patches, year after year… Wake up!

if it's suspicious, check it @ virustotal.com, a single antivirus application can't cope with that...
