As light and entertaining as the title promises, Kung Fu Hip-Hop (a.k.a. Kung Fu Pop) brings together an unlikely cast for a feel-good hip-hop dancefest that tickles the funnybone and rolls out the dance montages. Jordan Chan, who started his career as a backdancer, returns to his roots in a mighty dance-off against Korean artist Nam Hyun Joon, better known as Poppin Hyun Joon, who shows off his famed popping moves. Directed by Fu Huayang, Kung Fu Hip-Hop also co-stars top Chinese actress Fan Bingbing (A Battle of Wits) as a DJ and Shaw Brothers star Chen Kuan Tai as a garage owner who knows kung fu and speaks pearls of wisdom. Appearances from dance group Kung Fu Pop, teen duo By2, and even a couple of Olympics athletes add to the guilty pleasure.

    If this is what Chinese people think hip hop they are actually pretty much listening to techno. I think some of the music is actually pretty neat.
