Even if you paid me, I wouldn’t use Vista DRM! Don’t fall for Windows 7, it’s using the same Kernel as Vista too. Microsoft is going to push Windows 7 soon. More hype, more propaganda…

Start taking a serious look at open source now….

Talking trash about XP is just silly, as it still works on Vista hardware just fine, but Vista doesn’t on XP hardware. That’s a fact…

Indie… you clearly know NOTHING about computers.

Its not that peoples system cannot handle Vista, but it has been proven a million times over that XP is way more stable and compatible with todays use!

Vista is a fly-by-night OS. With security risks up the arse! MS HAS EVEN ADMITTED THIS… But if you dont think that..Get out of the cave you have been living in

Jesus Fuck, anyone hear of sarcasm? i’m running a dual core 3.4 xeon with 4gb of 667, sure it’s not the best in the world, of course, it would fucking run vista, and since i’m a network admin i was forced to learn vista, but I DON’T use it on my home computer, i use XP, because i prefer it. I say, to each their own, I prefer XP, so fuck you :)

also, if you’re going to shoot your mouth off just because it’s part of your face, don’t do it anonymously

Okay apparently no one in here knows an operating system from their own ass.

First off Vista is on a completely different operating platform. As for XP, it started with 95 platform and they continued to update it until XP came out (which yes it is near perfection)

However Vista is a completely different format of programming and platform. But it its first stage, basically like v95 was. In 10 years of upgrading like XP had behind it, the platform Vista is on now will blow XP out of the water.

Now you can sit here and claim XP is the greatest but when you are comparing a pear to an orange, two completely things.

OMG why can’t people see past their own bullshit?

The guy above me talks about how Vista is a completely different OS platform and that it is like windows 95 was in its start. Then talks about how much better Vista will be with upgrades and what not.

That is like Ford saying “Public if you just give us another 10 years I promise you will be as good if not better then Toyota”.

It is garbage now and by your description you are basically admitting it. Who gives a fuck if it is comparing oranges to pears or whatever the fuck your analogy is when the fucking orange is bruised, rotten and fucking spoiled.

I am not hiding. So if you got a response you can hit me up at forum.bootytorrents.com

“Talking trash about XP is just silly, as it still works on Vista hardware just fine, but Vista doesn’t on XP hardware. That’s a fact…”

Haha, of course it’s a fact, but you sir, are a moron. By that definition, Windows XP is also shit, because it won’t run on my old 486 computer, you’re basically implying unless an OS can run on all systems then it sucks, and that makes all OS shit to hardware made before the OS. Clearly XP will run on recent hardware because dualcore and quadcore processors are ahead of XP’s time, so it’s a given that it’d run. I’ve used Linux and it’s a pain in the ass, it also can’t run games so that’s just plain useless for me.

My Vista system never crashes, XP crashed far more than Vista does, (XP needed SP2 to be any decent, Vista is already decent at SP1 – that’s a one up on XP). It looks better, and ith as veyr handy tools, such as splitting and partioning drives is so easy on Vista, not as easy on XP. I have things run on Vista without drivers, whereas XP needed specific drivers off the net for it, so Vista comes with recent drivers built in, a one up on XP again.

Like said earlier too, XP was the result of a kernel being upgraded over three previous operating systems, thus it ironed out defects. Vista is a new kernel, verison one, therefore the next OS is an extension to that, so I’d say Vista has done a lot right being that it’s only up to the first mode of the kernel and it’s already as good as XP.

I looked into other OS and Linux just dosen’t cut it for the general user. I don’t need to any form of technical memory demanding software on my computers so Linux is useless to me.

Only idiots think Vista is crap really, that’s a fact. I have IT mates who whose Linux at work and choose Vista at home, becaues its much more simpler and easy for recreational use.
