Life After People is a special feature on the History Channel in which scientists and others speculate what the earth, animal life, and plant life might be like if humanity no longer existed, as well as the effect humanity’s disappearance would have on the artificial aspects of civilization. Speculation is based upon documented results of the sudden removal of humans from an area and the possible results which would occur should humanity discontinue its maintenance of buildings
and urban infrastructure.
Could have been a great documantary, had it not been made in the US.
The overdubbed commentary seems to be aimed at children, the interviews are smug, lecturing and pointless pauses in the progression. And like every single other documentary made in the US, it is entirely planned by commercials. So before every commercial-break there is a set up, or cliffhangerish end, and after the commercial-breaks there is a massive recap or summary for new or retarded viewers.
Had it been a BBC production, or similar, it would have been an entirely different (and quality) affair.
I hate to agree with you, but its true. Your newscasters are also 100x better than what our “journalists” are/ used to be/were. I weep for America when I see the “news” :`(
